Are you looking for something to do either before or after you visit the winery? One of the best cities in Kansas is just a short drive away. Here are just a few of the must-do events near Topeka.
Walk-in Paint Nights
With Walk-in Paint Nights at Studio 62, you never have to worry about trying to make paint night reservations again. Many of us struggle with knowing people who hate planning things too far in advance, so instead of trying to get friends to commit, you can walk in for a paint night on Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Prices vary based on the size of canvas that you wish to paint. Studio 62 accepts walk-ins from 4 pm to 6 pm and will provide assistance from a studio artist.
Topeka Scavenger Hunt
If you are looking for one of the most fun-filled events near Topeka, check out the Topeka Scavenger Hunt. This daily event allows people to explore the best sights in the city in a fun and exciting manner.
Throughout the scavenger hunt, you will hear the story about how the town of Topeka went from a potato patch to the state’s capital. You will get to explore the iconic buildings, visit cultural attractions, and more.
Our Modern Manor Showhouse Tours
Running from 10 am to 5 pm on September 24 through 26 are tours of the Modern Manor Showhouse in Topeka. With one of these tours, visitors can explore everything this historic home has to offer.
The home was built in 1939 and belonged to just one family throughout the years until new owners recently bought it. One of the original family’s memories was how the home was turned into a speakeasy during Prohibition.
Apple Festival
At the annual Apple Festival, which takes place the first weekend in October, visitors can experience what it was like to be a pioneer in Old Prairie Town. This event is one of the local’s favorites and provides live musicians, history demonstrations, an arts and crafts festival, and so much food. Come in and sample all things made from apples, including apple pies, fritters, caramel apples, cider, and more.
