For a Muslim wedding ceremony, everyone sits where they want. That’s because there’s not a lot of mingling. Everybody’s attention is up front, so there’s no time to talk during the ceremony. In most weddings, there are no seating charts at the ceremony.
Wedding Party Table
The wedding party is where the newlyweds sit. It always needs to be at the center of everyone’s attention. That doesn’t necessarily mean it has to be at the center of the room. It may be at the far front of the room. It’s usually larger than all other tables and it’s fully decorated to grab the attention of everyone who walks in. This table also includes the best man and the maid of honor.
Family Tables
You can have both sides of the family at one big table. Some people may include their parents at the wedding table. In other cases, each side of the family has their own tables. These tables include the parents, grandparents, and siblings.
Children’s Table
You designate a children’s table only if there are more than five children at the wedding. If there are only a couple of children, they should be seated with their parents. You can’t have two kids sitting in a corner by themselves.
If you have a lot of children at the wedding, you need to have a special table for them. You need to have someone specific to look after them. You may have some activities set for them to pass the time because kids don’t often have so much fun at adult functions. If you find that do you need seating arrangements at the reception, place cards and Muslim wedding cards can help. Find a quality wedding invitation company for quality cards that will impress.
